Morning Exercise.jpg
Daily Exercise Program

Posted September 5, 2023

To adhere to our belief that a healthy body builds a strong mind, we have started our new morning exercise regime. All students are required to do various physical exercise activities lead by a teacher at the start of the school day.

This 30 minute period wakes up the brain of the students and gets their blood flowing.

Additionally, it releases some energy that all youths inherently have leading to a calmer learning environment.

For students who are not involved in farm work on a particular day, the schedule currently is:
Mon - Endurance (jog/walk) up to 2.5km

Tue - Flexibility training

Wed - Fitness (whole class group walk)

Thur - Coordination Exercises

Fri - Strength Exercises

Group Learning Projects

Posted September 10, 2023

Learning in groups is another way our

students get an opportunity to

discover passions and interests. Our

Grade 7-9 learners are joined by a

few peers from the Grade 6 class on

Fridays to attend a short presentation

by a teacher on various topics. These

vary from semester to semester and

aim to broaden the horizons of our

students beyond the textbooks and notes.

This semester our group project learning will look at:

Mon - Entrepreneurship and Development / Operation and Management

Tue - Basic Information Technology / Program Design and Circuitry

Fri - Classroom Beautification / Production, Packaging, Marketing

Sports Day (1).jpg
Harmony Sports Day

Posted September 19, 2023

We anticipate the annual Harmony Sports Day event. This year, it will be held on Sunday, 25 November, 2023 having been postponed due to a venue schedule clash.

Our Sports Day was not set up to watch the students compete. Instead, we looked at how to make it a family day. Events and activities are made for the whole family to participate together and enjoy the day as a family. Parents are encouraged to join in on the fun and make a day of it.

Another bonus that comes with this yearly event, much to the delight of the students, is the day off. As we use a weekend day for this activity, Harmony lessons on Monday, 27 Nov. following the Sports Day are cancelled. This gives students who are not accustomed to such rigorous activity, an extra day to rest their bodies.

We look forward to this event growing year-on-year.

1 accepted into the American School in Taichung

1 accepted to a Canadian High School

2 accepted to a high school program in the US

1 attended an Australian Montessori

high school and graduated top of the class
